God Is Tumbling Dice

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Nature is trial and error?

Enough tries and something of order arises?

Just words, limited means of communication.

Trial and error =’s Order? Maybe…

Here is a demo I came across from April 2018 – hope life brings you more lucky sevens than snake eyes 😉

No Need To Pray For Rain

No Need to Pray for Rain

The idea to write this song came to me while I was walking into my home on a dark, cold and icy brown evening. I was thinking to myself wouldn’t it be nice to just have a massive rain storm wash this all away. Then I thought, maybe it’s best to accept the fact spring isn’t coming anytime soon and it’s not the mud-snow and ice that needs to be washed away but a change in my outlook. So there you are, a song was born with a message that can be applied universally. Sometimes we all are looking for a quick fix, for something to happen when what it really takes is a change in our hearts and minds. I know this world ain’t perfect but it’s a start. Cheers and hope you like the song!

Lyrics:

Waiting for the rain – for the rain to come – waiting for the rain to come
Waiting for the rain – for the rain to come – rain gonna wash it all away

No nothing can wash it away -except a change – a change in our hearts
That opens up our minds and that’s a start
No Need to Pray for Rain

I heard people say when those floodwaters come gonna shine like brand new
Gonna wash it away -those dirty rusty blues
But rust never dies – that much I know is true
Best to keep moving and fill our hearts with the truth

No nothing can wash it away -except a change – a change in our hearts
That opens up our minds and that’s a start
No Need to Pray for Rain

Why are we so divided? Tell me, who is pulling the strings?
We all want something baby – something to believe
But everybody’s fighting – drawing up their lines
All I am saying is try and open up your mind

No nothing can wash it away -except a change – a change in our hearts
That opens up our minds and that’s a start
No Need to Pray for Rain

Waiting for the rain – for the rain to come – waiting for the rain to come
Waiting for the rain – for the rain to come – rain gonna wash it all away

Seasonal/month appropriate song: ‘December’

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

I wrote this song a few years ago about as you might have guessed – December. I tried to capture the melancholy feeling of the Holiday Season through two aging lovers who have seen both the good and the bad and are now coming to terms with what lies ahead in their future. Hope you enjoy!

December – lyrics

Her light is on but does she feel?
Does she think she will never grow old?
I can’t remember the last deal that was ever made in the cold
December is always dark and the stars are seldom sold
They just hang there on display – no love for the one’s
Who stayed

Dreamers I call out your name
If I cut you will you bleed the same?
The young they live on their dreams
But the old live by their truths

Come down – come down my love
The hour is getting late

There’s a sunset on Christmas Eve
Orange and burning just like in your dream
When you awoke you were old
And you spread your wings and smiled
You said I’m just like the wind
I’m going to hold-on to the air

I jumped with a grin
And took hold of your hand
I said…

Come down – come down my love
The hour is getting late

Come down – come down my love
It’s Christmas Day
